Originally, Gaynor Minden pointe shoes were quite rigid with only a few fit variations. However, the brand now offers an expanded range of models, including ultra-flexible shanks, narrow fits for optimal comfort, larger sizes for wide feet, and built-in suede tips for enhanced durability.

 Founded in 1993, Gaynor Minden began as a family business in a small apartment of John and Eliza Minden in Manhattan. The company's initial product was the patented pointe shoe developed by Eliza Minden, which represented the first successful modernization of the iconic ballet shoe. Since then, Gaynor Minden has steadily grown and is now a global leader, supplying its products to hundreds of specialized dance stores across the United States and around the world.
