 The story of Chacott began in the 1950s. In the post-war period, Tokyo had settled into its regular rhythm of life. In the Asakusa district, a young Makoto Tsutiya passed by a shoe store window and noticed some old pointe shoes. They were in such a state that no one wanted to repair them. Makoto persuaded the shopkeeper to give him the pointe shoes and began dismantling them to create something new and beautiful. Thus, thanks to this curious 20-year-old, the brand's history began, and a new model of pointe shoes emerged, gaining recognition from the world’s top ballet schools and theaters.

Originally named "Swan Shoes," the company produced dance footwear and, since 1974, adopted its current French-inspired name, Chacott. Over the past 70 years, the brand's passion for creating high-quality products has remained strong. The product range has significantly expanded, with a notable focus on rhythmic gymnastics. Today, Chacott is the largest manufacturer of gymnastics equipment, clothing, accessories, and footwear for rhythmic gymnastics, dance, and choreography.
